This search page helps you find items from Doris Stephan's Antiques and Collectibles. Here's how it works: you type in keywords or phrases in the search box. The search responds by giving you a list of all the inventory in our index containing those search terms.
How To Use:
- Type your keywords in the search box.
- Select All or Any in the drop down box to find matches that contain all your keywords only or any one or more of your keywords.
- Press the Search button to start your search.
Here's an example:
- Type red necklace in the search box.
- Select Any in the drop down box.
- Press the Search button or press the Enter key.
- The Search Results page will show you all the inventory that contains "red" OR "necklace" in the Title or Description.
Tip: If you wanted just the red necklace inventory, select All in the drop down box.
Searches are case insensitive. Searching for "Fur" will match the lowercase "fur" and uppercase "FUR".
Expand your search using wildcards (*):
By typing an * within a keyword, you can match up to four letters.
Example: Try nugget* to find nugget or nuggets.
Use of a phrase
You can link words and numbers together into phrases if you want specific words or numbers to appear together in your result pages. If you want to find an exact phrase, use "double quotation marks" around the phrase when you enter words in the search box.
Example: You can type "Mother of Pearl" in the search box.
Including or excluding words:
To make sure that a specific word is always included in your search, place the plus (+) symbol before the key word in the search box. To make sure that a specific word is always excluded from your search, place a minus (-) sign before the keyword in the search box.
Example: To find a necklace that is not red, try "necklace -red".
